UFCU Member since 1989, local entrepreneur Kelly C started as a dishwasher. Today, he co-owns several beloved local restaurants around Austin — and UFCU has been with him every step of the way. Beyond the hustle and bustle of restaurant life, his Member story is one of legacy. With three generations of UFCU members in his family, he values the sense of belonging that UFCU fosters.

As a UFCU employee for 21 years, Monica Andry worked to improve the financial health and education of Central Texas Latinos and the community as a whole. Now, as the newly appointed president and CEO of the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, she is continuing her passion to advocate and be a voice for the Hispanic community.

David G has a love for Austin and the advantages of banking locally. He left the city for a while and tried Houston and Dallas, but loved UFCU so much, he refused to bank elsewhere. Back where he belongs, David is grateful that UFCU has been around to take part in his bigger life moments.

Katherine S founded the Technical Communications program at Austin Community College^® (ACC), which is still going strong today. She’s a teacher, an administrator, a published author, a world traveler, and a UFCU Member. We’re proud of Katherine’s contributions to our local community and the world over.

Apollo B is a new dad who works in the banking industry. His team of UFCU representatives has helped him improve his credit and get his first auto loan, credit card, and home loan. He’s on his way to financial success.

As a therapist, Aimee H works alongside doctors and physicians’ assistants to provide behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and the elderly. Between her commute and traveling to spend time with friends and family, she spends a lot of time on the road. Aimee relies on UFCU Insurance Services^® for coverage and peace of mind.

Ed T is a full-time freelance writer and consultant who has worked in Austin over 20 years. He authors multiple books, articles, and blogs every year. Ed started banking with UFCU as a UT grad student in 1976. He’s relied on UFCU as his financial partner ever since to help manage his cash flow and care for his family.

Ginger W found UFCU when she was looking for an auto loan. She joined to take advantage of low rates, but has stayed because of the relationships. She especially appreciates the education, the trust, and the connections that come with UFCU membership.

Michael and Elizabeth joined UFCU in 1965, when they came to The University of Texas at Austin™. Now Members for more than 50 years, they’ve grown from young UT students to seasoned credit union Members, and they’ve witnessed the growth of their credit union too.

Barry H has been a UFCU Member for more than 30 years, and he doesn’t plan on changing. Now retired from the University of Texas at Austin™, Barry enjoys photography and the ease of retirement.

Ariana F has partnered with UFCU through all her big life moments. Together with UFCU, she has financed three cars, benefitted from a flexible credit program, started using digital services, and is now saving for her kids’ future.

Jeffery H likes to write poems about the things that affect him, and he says being a Member of his first ever credit union affects him. Inspired, he wrote a poem about UFCU, and we’re proud to share what he has to say about us.

Rachel S has been a Member of UFCU since she graduated from high school in 2005. She has taken advantage of many services, including her first checking account, credit card, car loan, and line of credit. When she got married, she expanded her membership with UFCU by opening a joint account. Now that they have a daughter, they’re excited to start exploring more options for their future with UFCU.
