At UFCU, I’m not just another customer

After my divorce, my credit was ruined. I wasn’t able to get any kind of bank loan—I had payday loans that were killing me, and my credit had fallen into the poor range. I went into UFCU one day to close my account because I knew they were going to come and take everything, but instead I ended up leaving there with a loan. Edward got me a loan that paid off my car and gave me what it was worth so that I could pay off my other loans. So now I only have one loan payment to make every month, and it was lower than my monthly car payment had been.

Michelle HEdward was always there, checking on me to make sure everything was taken care of. I mean, he literally changed my life. He even told me that if I could pay off this loan a little quicker, he’d help me get into a house in 2 or 3 years. No one else would have done this for me. I would be in worse trouble right now, with no bank account—I don’t even know.

I was skeptical about credit unions at first, and then I started working at UT, and ended up joining UFCU. I never had anyone care from a bank. At UFCU, they treat me like everyone else.
