UFCU Opens First-Of-Its-Kind Branch in Georgetown

AUSTIN, Texas, November 27, 2023 — UFCU, Austin’s largest locally owned financial institution, continues to expand and offer its award-winning financial services to more Central Texans with a new, first-of-its-kind branch now open in Georgetown, Texas.

The new Georgetown branch is located at 4409 Williams Dr, catty-corner to H-E-B. Members will feel more at home while managing their finances with a reimagined “living room” approach. Instead of the classic teller counter, the branch's interior features ample comfortable seating, private consultation areas, and financial representatives equipped with personal tablets to meet Members where they are. The city of Georgetown's architecture, nature, and vibrant community inspire the branch's personalized look and feel, including a mural created by local artist Devon Clarkson.

The Georgetown location is an introduction to the next generation of UFCU branches, bringing a modern approach to banking that combines self-service access to popular lobby services with access to personal financial assistance. The branch will feature a 24/7 drive-through and walk-up ATM, a self-serve coin-counting machine, safe deposit boxes, and the friendly service and tailored financial expertise that Members have come to expect and trust from UFCU.

The expansion into Georgetown not only includes a new standalone branch — UFCU has also expanded to include neighboring private liberal arts college Southwestern University as an official member of the UFCU field of membership as of Spring 2023. All Southwestern University faculty, staff, and students are now welcome to open a UFCU account and enjoy the benefits of membership, including financial health counseling, mortgage and auto loan services, and fee-free access to thousands of ATMs nationwide.
