UFCU Chief Financial Officer named a Best CFO of 2018

Austin, July 20, 2018 — University Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that Michael Crowl, Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of University Federal Credit Union (UFCU), has been named a “Best CFO of 2018” by the Austin Business Journal. Honored in the non-profit business category, Crowl is one of seven honorees recognized this month at a reception conducted by the business newspaper.

It can be a challenge, however, to hire exceptional CFOs who demonstrate vision, strategic thinking, integrity, strong relational skills, and emotional integrity. Crowl has been with UFCU for 13 years. In the last few years, in addition to his CFO duties, Michael has assumed responsibilities in the areas of enterprise analytics, digital banking and payments, operational innovation, enterprise strategic planning, and secondary mortgage marketing. This diverse and broad set of responsibilities is a testament to his strength as an exceptional leader with a proven track record of developing cohesive, high-performing teams that deliver excellence across strategic, financial, and operational initiatives. He holds undergraduate and MBA degrees from the University of Houston, Clear Lake and is a Certified Public Accountant.
