Six of Nation’s Top Latino Mortgage Originators at UFCU

Several of UFCU’s loan experts were honored by the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals^® (NAHREP^®) for their mortgage origination achievements. Six of UFCU’s loan officers made the 2022 list of the nation’s top 250 mortgage professionals based on transactions they closed during 2021. All awardees identify as Hispanic/Latino and are recognized among over 1,200 nominees from across the US and Puerto Rico.

Sonia David, Maria Sweet, Jennifer Hernandez, Mario Gomez, Andy Garcia, and Michelle Higdon were the UFCU pros who made the Top 250 list and the Top 100 originators in the region. Additionally, Michelle Higdon made the Top 100 Volume list, which is based on total dollar amount.

NAHREP describes the Top 250 Latino Mortgage Originators of 2022 list as “Hispanic real estate’s most prestigious award.” Its eleventh-annual award recognized US Latino mortgage professionals ranked based on the count and dollar value of their transactions during the previous calendar year. Like UFCU, NAHREP is a non-profit that advances homeownership for the US Hispanic community. In addition, NAHREP provides measures and metrics of Hispanic homeownership by the political district for voters, public representatives, and lending and housing professionals.
