CEO & President’s Message January 2024

Happy New Year! All of us here at UFCU wish you and yours a wonderful year ahead.

We recognize economic uncertainty continues and want to assure you that your credit union is here for you. In fact, we were built for times like this as we celebrate our 88th anniversary in May. Before we look ahead to this year, it is important we look back at our shared accomplishments in 2023.

The introduction of a new mobile and online experience is our most significant endeavor in over a decade. While we are now well positioned for the future, we acknowledge there have been challenges with the transition. We genuinely appreciate the feedback many of you provided — it has already and will continue to influence enhancements and improvements in the weeks and months ahead. I want to recognize our amazing front-line teams who helped tens of thousands of you make this transition.

Other Notable Accomplishments

• Named a trusted banking partner at The University of Texas at Austin™
• Began serving Southwestern University in Georgetown — we now serve all of the universities and colleges in the Austin and Galveston areas
• Expanded our branch network north with the opening of our new Georgetown location
• Added Greater Austin YMCA to our field of membership
• Continued to grow our partnership with Austin Community College
• Introduced fee-free access to 55,000 ATMs nationwide
• Helped more people build lifetime wealth through homeownership than any other company in Central Texas for the eighth consecutive year

In 2024, we have big plans to eliminate additional fees, improve your everyday banking experience, open new branches, and introduce new products — all to serve you better.

I am incredibly grateful to serve you alongside our dedicated employees who make all this happen through their unwavering devotion to empowering your financial success.
