UFCU Names John Castro to Lead New Mueller Financial Center

Austin, TEXAS, July 2, 2018 — University Federal Credit Union (UFCU), Austin’s largest locally-owned financial institution, has named John Castro manager of its Mueller Interactive Financial Center. The new 3,700-square foot center, located at 1801 E 51 Street, Austin Texas, is now open. In this position, Castro will help UFCU further establish and deepen business and Member relationships and provide exceptional service to the Mueller community.

Castro brings more than six years of financial services experience to his new role. He joined UFCU in 2016 as the financial center manager of the Steck location. He also comes with over 18 years of management experience in customer service.

Prior to joining UFCU in 2016, Mr Castro was a financial center manager in the banking industry. He also spent 20 years in the restaurant business, with seven years experience as a general manager. Mr Castro’s experience makes him an excellent fit for this new role.
