International Credit Union Day—Empowering Financial Futures
Austin, TEXAS, October 5, 2022—Each October, over 86,000 credit unions around the world celebrate the positive impact they make on the financial lives of more than 375 million credit union Members. October 20, 2022, marks the 74th International Credit Union Day, and UFCU is proud to both recognize this day and be part of the service-oriented credit union movement.
The World Council of Credit Unions helps to promote the event and chooses a theme each year. This year’s theme — Empower Your Financial Future with a Credit UnionTM — dovetails well with UFCU’s vision of financially healthy communities. It’s a message UFCU lives daily, helping its Members improve access to education, quality jobs, affordable housing, and the tools to take charge of their financial health.
