Avoid Scams & Protect Your Information
We are aware of an ongoing phishing and vishing campaign targeting UFCU Members and our community. Please note, UFCU will never contact you asking for:
- PIN numbers
- One-time passwords
- Login credentials
These requests are scams. Such calls, emails, and texts are not UFCU representatives, but rather imposters aiming to deceive Members into disclosing sensitive information. Stay vigilant of unexpected requests for personal or financial information, including claims your account is frozen, and proceed with caution:
- Forward suspicious emails to [email protected].
- Received a suspicious text? Do not click any links. Email us the details.
- Concerned you’ve shared personal info? Call (512) 467-8080, or visit a UFCU branch during normal business hours.
One-Time Password Safety
Only share your one-time passcode verbally with a UFCU representative you have called. A UFCU representative will only ask for your one-time passcode when you call Member Services at (512) 467-8080 or (800) 252-8311. Here’s what will happen:
- A UFCU representative will request your permission to send a one-time passcode.
- With your consent, they will generate and send the passcode to you.
- Once received, you can share the passcode with the representative to receive assistance.
Keep Your Information Secure
For your security, please be sure we always have your correct contact information on file. To learn all the ways you can update your contact information, visit UFCU.org/StayUptoDate.
