Laura J Kilcrease, is the CEO of Alberta Innovates, a corporation that drives innovation from discovery to deployment. Formerly, she was founder and managing director of Triton Ventures, LLC, a venture capital fund that invests in spinout and early-stage technology companies. With more than 25 years of hands-on experience in commercializing technology, Ms Kilcrease understands how to cultivate new opportunities to “grow businesses around businesses” as well as how to deconstruct and reconstruct business models to achieve significant results. Ms Kilcrease has given her time and expertise to many nonprofit boards, including the Women’s Leadership Advisory Board of Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, the Beyster Institute, World Congress for Information Technology 2006, the IC² Institute at The University of Texas at Austin, the Austin Area Research Organization, and the Executive Committee of the Board of the Austin Chamber of Commerce. She received her certification as a Chartered Management Accountant in the UK in 1980 and an MBA from UT Austin in 1992. Ms Kilcrease has been a UFCU Member since 2014.

Molly Beth Malcolm, EdD, LPC, is Executive Vice President of Campus Operations and Public Affairs at Austin Community College District (ACC). She is a senior advisor to the Chancellor and member of the Chancellor’s Cabinet; oversees District public affairs; District campus and safety operations including the ACC Police Department; the Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation Campus Center; the Center for Nonprofit Studies; and International Programs. Dr Malcolm is a key point of contact to business leaders, government officials, international organizations, educational leaders, and the public. She is also a professor of practice for The University of Texas at Austin Executive Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership and Policy. Dr Malcolm earned her Doctor of Education degree in Educational Administration from The University of Texas at Austin. A Licensed Professional Counselor, she has a master’s degree from Texas A&M University—Texarkana and an undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University. Throughout her career, she has worked to improve public and higher education. Dr Malcolm has extensive political experience, a long history of civic involvement, and has been the recipient of numerous awards recognizing her state and community commitment.

John A Martin is a veteran of the construction industry and Vice President of Austin Commercial, LP, managing the Houston Division Unit. Since graduating from Oklahoma State University with a BS degree in Construction Management, he has managed over $3 billion in construction projects, including the LBJ Presidential Library, the Texas State Capitol Dome Renovation, the Baylor Football Stadium, and over 40 projects on The University of Texas at Austin campus. He has received many prestigious awards recognizing his contributions for quality, safety, and leadership, including the Marvin M Black Partnering Award, top honors from the Associated General Constructors of America, and seven Platinum STEP Safety awards from The University of Texas System. He also has been recognized in Texas Monthly magazine’s “Best Company to Work For” list nine years in a row. Mr Martin has served on the UFCU Board since 2009, and currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Board. He is an avid wing shooter, a fly fisherman, and a proud grandfather. He resides in Katy, Texas, with his wife of 31 years and their two daughters.

Thomas A Miranda has served for nearly two decades within high growth Fortune 100 firms HP Palo Alto and Cisco. His experience ranges from product engineering, corporate development, and Enterprise IT to operating and management. He is President of Sparkovation Advisors, a management consulting and technology advisory firm that advises start-ups and corporations to discover new top-line value through product/service differentiation, digital business strategy, and technical leadership. His journey began prior to attending community college and to this day he is compelled to be involved in social impact causes, including education, workforce, entrepreneurship, diversity, and inclusion. Miranda has served as a past board chair of The Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Mission Capital, Austin Ed Fund, and EGBI. He currently serves on several boards, including Mission Capital, Capital Area Workforce Development, Greater Austin Black Chamber of Commerce, Texas Lyceum, and the Austin Area Research Organization. He attended San Antonio College, graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, and has earned project management and executive leadership credentials from George Washington University, Stanford University, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
